EBC forms an autonomous part of the Brewers of Europe, representing the interests of the national brewing industry bodies throughout all the member states within the European Union (and other European states, such as Switzerland and Norway).

EBC's administration is headed by the EBC Executive Officer, John Brauer, who is also the main contact person in terms of the scientific and technical content.

The congress organisation with respect to the logistical coordination, planning and execution is being looked after by EBC's appointed professional congress organiser, Interplan AG.
